Job Description

1. ENGLISH LESSONS
i.) Regular lessons

● Junior class (3-4 years old)： Once a week for 10 minutes x 2 lessons.
● Middle class(4-5 years old)： 2 lessons of 15 minutes twice a week
● Senior class (5-6 years old)： 2 lessons of 15 minutes x 2 times a week

Example of one lesson:
-Introduction
-Beginning song (talk about the weather, days of the week, etc.)
-Vocabulary and speech strengthening-English activities (games, songs, puppet shows, Q&A, reading aloud, dialogues, etc.)
-End of the day songs(Lessons for each year group have the same theme, but with slightly different sentence difficulty and introductions.)

●Once a month, there is time to learn about other countries and their cultures.

ii) Afterschool (held from 13:30 to 14:30 on weekdays except Wednesdays)Example of one lesson.

-Daily conversation such as greetings, weather, etc.
-Physical activities
-Vocabulary and speech strengthening
-English activities (games, songs, puppet shows, Q&A, reading aloud, crafts, dialogue, etc.)
-End of day songs

2. Picking up and dropping off children at school in the morning and evening(communication with parents may occur).
3. Participating in the school children's 'lunch time' and 'free play', assisting the Japanese teachers.
4. Participation in seasonal events (potato digging, sports day, etc.)
5. Recording listening tests (this is not kindergarten work, but help with work at the attached high school).
6. Meetings with Japanese teachers and looking back with them.
7. Meetings with the company:

●Curriculum and lesson plans will be discussed with Human Academy Co. (PC will be provided.)
●Periodic meetings with the person in charge to discuss issues etc.

【Welcome skills】

●Singing ability: Must be able to sing at the correct pitch.
●Experience in teaching young children.

【Work schedule】

‐Monday to Friday, 8.15 a.m. - 4.15 p.m.
‐Seasonal events: participation in potato digging, sports day, etc.

【Vacation/Holiday】

●Saturdays and Sundays (2-3 times a year for participation in events*, with compensatory days off).
●Summer holidays (approx. 3 weeks in August) and winter holidays (approx. 2 weeks in December/January).

【Access】

●Private kindergarten in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo.
●About 8 minutes' walk from the nearest station.

【Treatment/benefits】

●This is an outsourced contract so no health insurance, pension scheme or paid leave.
