Job Description

AEC English school in Katsushika-ku is looking for part time teachers to join our team. Our school is small independently operated school located a convenient 2-minute walk from Aoto station (Asakusa and Keisei lines) and has been serving the community for over 30 years.

We offer a wide variety of classes including Group, Private and online lessons with levels including Elementary School, Junior High, High School students and adults which makes the day more interesting and diverse.

Days and classes in which we need a teacher:

Thursdays

Monthly rate:  41,000 - 45,000 yen plus overtime (41,000 yen during the first three months)
Total teaching time: approx. 270 min (4.5 hours).
Work/Office hours:  380 minutes (6.2 hours).

Notes
* Wage Calculation Clarification:  As the class duration is different depending on the level, we  total all the teaching and working minutes done that day.
** Wage Clarification #2: This is a guaranteed monthly pay;  you still get the same amount even if there is a national holiday or school closed on that day.
*** Work hours overtime:  This is for time you may be asked to work past the core hours.  You are not trapped at the school when not teaching or preparing for lessons.

 

Tuesdays

As there are fewer classes, we pay this on an hourly rate.

• Wage:  ¥2,200-2,600 per hour (￥2,200 for the first 3 months)
• Classes held from 16:30 and 20:30 hrs
• Levels: Elementary school class and Junior High school class
