Job Requirements

Successful applicants must: 

• Have at least 2 years professional experience in an early years educational or daycare environment
• Have a valid visa that allows for work up 20 hours a week
• Be available to start ASAP (preferred start-date is sometime during the week of August 26-30)

Job Description

Joy to the World American International School was established in 1999 and is celebrating its 25th year serving the community. We are an immersion-English environment that provides a fun and safe place for all children to learn and grow through creativity. Staff enjoy a fun, friendly, team oriented and professionally satisfying work environment.

The main role of our Afternoon Kindergarten Helper is the participate in our afternoon schedule which includes spending time in our Extended Care Program (similar to daycare) and also acting as the assistant teacher for our Afterschool Kindergarten class.

Our Afterschool Kindergarten class is a fun and diverse mix-aged class that gives children from outside the school a chance to learn and practice their English skills. The Assistant Teacher would be responsible for helping the Head Teacher care for the children, manage logistics and provide a fun and positive environment for children to enjoy and learn in.
