Advantageous

• Experience in international schools or on international programs at private Japanese schools

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Student Recruitment Officer for a brand-new international school. If you’re passionate about education and have the desire to really make something positive happen in Japanese secondary schools, then this could be the job for you.

We are a private high school in central Tokyo that launched an international program in April 2024. The course combines the Japanese national curriculum with Cambridge International Lower Secondary, and is aimed at children coming through the regular Japanese elementary school system. The course incorporates a range of progressive teaching methodologies to develop the students’ 21st Century skills.

Together with the members of the project team, you will:

• Lead on short-term and long-term student recruitment strategies and sales
• Assist in the development and implementation of effective marketing and PR strategies
• Develop positive relationships with potential students and their parents leading to recruitment
• Build effective relationships with cram schools and other external stakeholders
• Assist in devising and running in-house student recruitment events
• Attend external student recruitment events (education fairs etc.) as required
• Use market and customer data to inform strategy

This is a hugely challenging project, but one that has the potential to be game changing in Japan. As such, we are looking for a high-caliber, passionate student recruiter who would like to make meaningful change to education in this country. You will be fully supported throughout by an enthusiastic project team comprised of members of the school board, educators, educational consultants, admin staff, PR, marketing and salespeople, and other passionate and committed staff.
