Qualifications:

• Native or near-native English proficiency.
• Teaching experience (preferably JET, ALT or Eikaiwa)
• Must currently reside in Japan and hold a valid working visa.
• A bachelor’s degree (in case of requiring visa extension sponsorship).
• We assist with extending valid working visas but do not sponsor new visas.

Katty English, with three conversation schools in Kanagawa, is seeking a native English instructor to join our growing teaching team. Our friendly, supportive environment ensures low teacher turnover. With diverse classes, you’ll enjoy variety and avoid repetitive teaching patterns. We value your ideas, not just in the classroom but also for events, new courses, and other areas of our business. The work at our schools is not really difficult if you are person with passion for teaching. However, we do expect certain qualities from our instructors and the most important one of them is a strong commitment to work.

Job description:

• Teaching a variety of classes that may include group classes, private lessons, kindergarten or company classes. The ages range from early kindergarten children to adults of all ages.
• Planning and developing lesson content and new curriculums.
• Collaborating with the team to brainstorm event and activity ideas.
• Fixed teaching schedule at one or 3 of our locations.
