Job Requirements

This position of to give English lessons for a business person who hopes to brush-up her English level.

Desired Candidate:

・Someone from the UK or US

・Preferably someone who has not been in Japan for long

・Someone who can teach contemporary slang and expressions used by young people in English-speaking countries

・Someone who can facilitate conversation practice based on topics such as the political situation and culture of foreign countries (including Japan)

Salary: 3,000 yen per hour

Special Note:

➀The student is enrolled as a learner at our language school. To formally begin lessons, you will need to complete an interview and register as a teacher with our company, followed by a teaching contract.

②Lesson fees will be paid via bank transfer by our company (payment on the 25th of each month, for lessons completed by the 10th).

Job Description

Lesson format: Online one-on-one lessons.

Details:

Content: English conversation
Period: January to March 2025（1 session per week）

※Duration: The week of January 20, 2025, to the week of March 24, 2025.

Frequency: 10 sessions in total (1 hour/session, conducted online)
Focus: Modern American English conversation
Student: A professional adult female (advanced English level)
Rate: ¥3,000/hour
Lesson time:
First Preference: Thursdays, 16:30–17:30
Second Preference: Fridays, 16:30–17:30

Lesson request:

Main Purpose: Brushing up on daily conversation and learning the English used by modern young people.

Improve day-to-day conversational skills (small talk) and , rather than business English.
Enhance the student’s understanding of modern (American) English used by younger generation from U.K. or U.S.  through discussions on current topics.
Examples: Contemporary phrases like "Gen Z" or changes in conversational expressions, such as "great" evolving to "cool," and then to "awesome" in recent years.
