Part Time English teacher

Job Requirements

• Native-level English proficiency necessary (or very highly fluent)
• Currently living in Japan with a proper working visa
• Bachelor degree
• Prior experience working with children is preferred.
• Future possibility of visa renewal is possible if you teach more than 4 days a week.

Job Description

NYC School is looking for a part-time English teacher to join our team on Saturday mornings at our Yokohama location. This role has the potential to expand to include weekday preschool teaching in the future if desired. Having a valid driver's license and the ability to assist with student pick-ups or drop-offs would be a plus.

April 2025

Hours
9:00 - 12:20 hrs on Saturdays

Student level
Young children aged 3 to 10 years old.

Wages
2,300 yen per hour plus transportation (within limitation). If you teach arts and crafts and play-centered hours, the salary is 2,000 yen per hour.

Duties
Responsibilities include preparing materials before classes, conducting regular teaching activities, tidying up after class, grading tests, and providing feedback.

While experience is highly welcome, it is not a requirement training is available from the end of March.

Location
NYC School is located near Kamiooka station (10-minute train ride from Yokohama station).
