We use the term 'Coach' instead of 'Teacher/Instructor' as our Coaches do not drill students in grammar and phonics, but use a holistic and goal-oriented approach to support our students (mainly executives and professionals) to reach their English communication goals.

IDEAL COACH CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Able to work from home.
• Experienced and professional.
• In-depth knowledge of English grammar.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Able to operate a computer and know how to use Outlook, Excel, Zoom.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

• Motivating students to maximize output.
• Coaches are generally not required to teach grammar.
• Understanding the student’s goal and combining it with the target language.
• Providing high-quality, level-appropriate, goal-oriented lessons.
• Creating a welcoming environment for students to actively communicate.
• Ensuring the customer’s experience at TORAIZ meets or exceeds their expectations.
• Proactively communicating with team members regarding customer progress, strengths and challenges, and program/lesson material recommendations.

WORK SCHEDULE:

As our students are busy professionals, the majority of lessons are scheduled during the following peak hours:

• Monday - Saturday: 06:00 - 08:55AM
• Monday - Saturday: 18:00 - 23:25PM

Applicants are expected to coach a minimum of 15 hours per week. There is no fixed upper limit on coaching hours, and additional hours may be available based on student demand and coach's availability.

Priority Availability

We currently have the highest demand for coaches who can commit to:

1. Saturday mornings and/or full-day Saturdays
2. Monday mornings 

Additional morning slots are available throughout the week; however, preference will be given to candidates who can consistently cover the priority times listed above.

Please Note

We also offer lessons during standard business hours; however, these are supplementary hours and do not represent our primary scheduling needs.

TYPES OF ONLINE LESSONS:

Private Lessons: 25-minute private lesson.
Group Lessons: 50-minute group lesson.

PAYMENT:
¥1,510 per 25-minute online private lesson.
¥3,020 per 50-minute online group lesson (maximum 4 students).

Our program is aimed at providing the most efficient method for students to master English communication over a one-year program through lessons with native and/or native-level coaches, and daily support from bilingual Japanese consultants.
