Job Requirements

【Required Requirements】
3+ years of experience as a sales engineer in the manufacturing industry.
Alternatively (if #1 is not met), 3+ years of experience in international sales.
STEM background/knowledge (e.g., basic knowledge of component manufacturing processes, ability to read blueprints/technical drawings).
Experience in client negotiations.
Ability to understand client needs and provide consultative solutions (comprehensive proposals focused on solving client issues rather than just selling products).
Ability to drive projects forward by involving both internal and external stakeholders.
Proactivity, problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, and multitasking abilities.
A strong challenging spirit.
Commitment to achieving goals.

English proficiency (business level, suitable for corporate negotiations) and Japanese proficiency (conversational level, around JLPT N2, for internal communication).

An established network with medical device manufacturers overseas.
Design experience at a component manufacturer.


Job Description

We are looking for a key professional to drive international business for our Metal Injection Molding (MIM) services in markets like the US and Europe, focusing on securing final orders and transitioning them to mass production. This position is scheduled for relocation to our German branch after one year.

  • Comprehend client needs from overseas branches (primarily the US and Germany).
  • Define product requirements and conduct technical feasibility studies based on these needs.
  • Develop project plans by leveraging internal departments and resources.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between clients and the Japan-based technical team to ensure smooth prototype manufacturing.
  • Manage overall projects, schedules, and resources.
  • Strategize new business development and manage overseas sales representatives (Reps).
  • Provide proposals to clients to secure mass production contracts and develop local resources in the US and Germany.

【Project Background】 Business negotiations with US and European companies are currently underway with the goal of securing final production orders. As part of our strategy to expand our global market share, we need to strengthen coordination between Japan headquarters and overseas branches, as well as handle direct inquiries from abroad to Japan. This recruitment aims to augment our team and reinforce the project management structure at our German branch.
