Job Description
An International English immersion preschool catering to students between the ages of 18 months to 6 years old, TIK is the first Cambridge Early Years accredited program in Japan. With lower student-teacher ratios and a combination of play based and academic content, we feel that the education of our students is a partnership between the school and the families of the children in our care. We strive to provide high quality education and are committed to the ongoing professional development of our staff.
This is a full-time classroom teacher position for the 3-4 year old class.
A classroom teacher's role is to plan, prepare and execute the lessons to achieve specific student learning outcomes over the period of one year with the same group of students. The student experience will be focused on in order to improve knowledge and efficiently engage students and improve their learning throughout the day. All lessons are conducted in English, however for our 3 to 6 year old students there is a 30 minute Japanese lesson each. Shifts are Monday to Friday
- 7:30 to 16:30 [early shift]
- 8:00 to 17:00 [middle shift A]
- 9:00 to 18:00 [middle shift B]
- 9:30 to 18:30 [late shift]
(with a 1 hour break) and dependent on the needs of the school.
