Our Roles:  Local Staff

In this role you will use your language skills, knowledge of Tokyo and Japan to accompany our Clients and their guests on their day to day Olympic Hospitality program itinerary. This includes escorting them to their sporting events, their delicious dining experiences, cultural and shopping explorations among many daily activities they have.

Our Hosts provide Event specific knowledge, Tokyo and Japan knowledge and information on the daily activities and logistics to our clients and their guests. Additionally, our Hosts ensure the safe and comfortable transport of program guests to and from their daily activities. The role will involve being with guests from early morning until the late evening, during this time host/hostesses respond to guests needs and requests and ensure that they have an outstanding hospitality experience and leave the Host City, Tokyo, Japan wanting to return.

Job Requirements:-

  • Enjoy and have experience working in Teams
  • Take delight in customer service and supporting guests/customers
  • Professional and willing to do what it takes to ensure great experiences
  • Minimum Upper Intermediate English (above Conversational)
  • Minimum Upper Intermediate Japanese (above Conversational)
  • Multi-tasker that is excited to be working in an international environment
  • Positive person in a fast paced environment that comes with pressure and change
  • Willing to learn and apply the learning in new and interactive ways
  • Enjoys the challenge of problem solving and providing solutions
  • Likes to be organised and timely
  • Has good knowledge of the Host City - Tokyo
  • Wants to share their knowledge of Japanese culture, history, food and experiences

Availability:-

  • Our team will be required full time July 14 through to August 11 - including weekends
  • Work is every day including the above dates
  • As this is a mega-event hours will vary based on training schedules and our clients itineraries
  • Hospitality Academy Training Workshops - starting November 15 2020. The first series is via 90 minute webinars every 2 weeks - on a flexible schedule based around your personal diary. From January 2021, all space requirements permitted, we will have in-person workshops every 2 weeks.

Training:-

  • We provide interactive in-class workshops on a flexible schedule for our Team
  • Our classes are in English and held in the evenings or on the weekend
  • We provide all the information, knowledge and skills required to be successful in the role
  • Training certificates are provided to all that complete their Workshops
  • They are a fun way to engage, meet other team members and learn all you need to know
