Job Requirements

- Bachelor's degree
- At least three years of experience as a homeroom teacher or as a class leader (assistant teaching experience not applicable).
- Valid early childhood teaching credentials are highly preferred.
- Experience with international curriculums and Jolly Phonics is highly preferred.

Job Description
Global Step Academy International School is looking for experienced and creative teachers to work with children at an international preschool and kindergarten.
Daily responsibilities include lesson planning and active participation in all student activities and school events. Teachers must have a genuine interest in working and communicating with children of different nationalities, mother tongues, and backgrounds.
The School
We provide high-quality education to over 70 children in a relaxed, home-like atmosphere. Our curriculum is based on the International Early Years Curriculum with an extra focus on the teaching of sports, dance, and music. Main program students range from 2 to 6 years old, while after-school students range from 4 to 12 years old. All non-academic subjects are taught by specialist teachers.
All lessons are taught in English, as about half of our students are mother-tongue speakers.
Working Conditions
Working Hours: 8 hours (mainly 8:30-17:30).
Working Days: Monday to Friday. Holidays: Japanese National Holidays + about 6 weeks of school holidays + paid holidays.
Allowances: transportation fees reimbursement (up to 15,000/month), Social Insurance (Shakai Hoken) for full-time employees. Professional development opportunities are also available.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with the school concept.
- Assess students regularly and analyze student results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
- Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students’ education.
- Manage student behavior.-Actively participate in professional development activities, and work closely with colleagues.
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance.
- Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs.
- Support the mission, vision, and core values of Global Step Academy International School-Perform other related duties as required and assigned (school bus attendant duties, classroom cleaning, and management).
Salary
¥270,000 to ¥300,000 depending on experience and qualification.
