Japan's top food tour company is looking for people who love food to join our team. If you have a passion for Japanese cuisine, meeting new people and sharing your experiences with others, this is the company you. We specialize in food experiences in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fujinomiya (At Mt. Fuji) and Hiroshima.
Food Tour Guide Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma/GED required Higher Education a plus.
Conversationally bilingual in Japanese and English
Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
Open to new ideas and able to work in an innovative and fast paced environment.
Familiar and passionate about Japanese food and culture
Excellent problem solving skills

Food Tour Guide Responsibilities and Duties

Know routes and foods in detail on assigned tour
Report for scheduled tour at least 15 minutes prior to start time.
Confirm any food concerns, allergies or dietary restrictions.
Welcome guests as they arrive and establish friendly conversation while you wait.
Research new information about Japanese food and culture.

Compensation & Incentives

The starting salary for a Part-time guide is ¥ 5,000-6,000 per tour

Transportation is paid for by Arigato Japan

Salary can be increased based on time and performance

In addition, Arigato Japan offers incentives that will be detailed during the training process.
