TEFL Toulouse
TEFL Toulouse runs TEFL training courses in central Toulouse and has operated there since 2009. For employers, it is a practical provider whose trainees complete substantial contact time, observed teaching practice, grammar and phonology testing, and graded lesson work.
Its courses are built around classroom training rather than passive study, which makes it easier for employers to understand what graduates have actually done before applying for teaching jobs.

About TEFL Toulouse
TEFL Toulouse offers a 5-week, full-time, in-class TEFL course. It also offers a 12-week blended version, followed by a 13th week in Toulouse for teaching practice.
The school is accredited and regularly moderated by the UK-based TEFL moderating body IATQUO. It is well known in France and internationally, with many past trainees now working in Asia and other regions outside Europe.
What the training covers
TEFL Toulouse’s in-class trainees receive more than 120 hours of contact time with experienced trainers, including trainers with DELTA and MA-level qualifications. All trainees complete at least 6 hours of observed teaching practice with real students of English.
The course also includes more than 70 hours of grammar and phonology input, along with training in lesson planning, the four language skills, Business English, Young Learners, exam classes, one-to-one teaching, and online teaching.

Why employers should care
TEFL Toulouse trainees are expected to earn six passing grades for their lessons. If a trainee receives a Below Pass grade on one of those lessons, that lesson must be redone. Graduates can also show the grades printed on their TEFL certificate.
They also complete two grammar and phonology tests and an in-depth one-to-one teaching project. That gives employers more to look at than a simple attendance certificate and makes it easier to judge how much assessed practical training a candidate has completed.
Study format and provider approach
The blended course includes more than 35 video input sessions, the same handouts used by in-class trainees, weekly Zoom tutorials, assignments, and observed teaching practice. Teaching practice lessons are observed and graded.
TEFL Toulouse presents the course as CELTA / Trinity equivalent and puts clear weight on a supportive training environment. Both the in-class and blended courses are also endorsed by the French government for trainee funding.
