(熊本）Hilltop International School is an established English-immersion kindergarten in Kumamoto, Japan. For 18 years, we have served the local community and grown into a trusted school with 100 students. We provide a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment where young children build confidence in English while developing strong social skills, independence, and a love of learning.

Our team is international, collaborative, and highly supportive. New teachers receive guidance and training, and we work closely together to maintain consistent classroom routines, strong communication with families, and a safe, positive atmosphere for children. Many teachers describe Hilltop as a “work family” because we genuinely support one another and share responsibility for the success and wellbeing of every child.

Hilltop is not a Christian school. However, the owners and some staff members are Christians, and Hilltop is a workplace where Christians are free to live out and share their faith in a natural, respectful way through daily life and relationships.

We also operate Kumamoto Christian International School (KCI), our primary division which opened in April 2026. While Hilltop and KCI are connected through the same leadership and shared commitment to educational excellence, Hilltop remains an independent English-immersion kindergarten with its own identity, culture, and mission.

Our mission is to provide an excellent education rooted in biblical truth, equipping students to grow in faith, knowledge, and character. With small class sizes, caring teachers, and a Christ-centered curriculum aligned with U.S. standards (Common Core/AERO), we are committed to nurturing the whole child academically, spiritually, and socially.

Looking forward, KCI is actively pursuing international accreditation (ACSI) and plans to expand into junior high and high school. This long-term vision provides teachers with meaningful opportunities for growth, leadership, and career stability.

Kumamoto itself offers an outstanding quality of life, with beautiful nature, a rich culture, and living costs that are about 40% lower than Tokyo — making it one of Japan’s most comfortable and welcoming cities for teachers and families.

（熊本）Hilltop International School は、熊本にある英語イマージョン型のインターナショナル幼稚園です。18年間にわたり地域に根ざした教育を行い、現在では約100名の園児が在籍する、地域から信頼されるスクールへと成長しました。子どもたちが英語に自信を持ちながら、社会性、自立心、そして学ぶことへの喜びを育めるよう、温かく、秩序ある、魅力的な学習環境を提供しています。

私たちのチームは国際色豊かで、協力的かつ非常にサポートし合う環境です。新しい教師には丁寧な指導と研修を行い、一貫したクラス運営、保護者との良好なコミュニケーション、安全で前向きな教育環境を維持するために、スタッフ全員が協力して働いています。多くの教師が Hilltop を「家族のような職場」と表現するほど、お互いを支え合い、すべての子どもたちの成長と幸せに責任を持って取り組んでいます。

Hilltop はクリスチャンスクールではありません。しかし、運営者や一部のスタッフはクリスチャンであり、日々の生活や人間関係を通して、自然で敬意ある形で信仰を生き、分かち合うことができる職場環境です。

また、私たちは2026年4月に開校した小学校部門、Kumamoto Christian International School（KCI）も運営しています。Hilltop と KCI は、同じ運営陣と教育への共通した理念によって結ばれていますが、Hilltop は独自の文化・使命・教育方針を持つ、独立した英語イマージョン幼稚園です。

KCI は、聖書の真理に基づいた優れた教育を提供し、子どもたちが信仰・知識・人格の面で成長できるよう導く、キリスト中心のインターナショナルスクールです。少人数制クラス、思いやりのある教師陣、そして Common Core や AERO に基づいたアメリカ基準のカリキュラムを通して、学力面だけでなく、霊的・社会的成長も含めた「全人的教育」を大切にしています。

現在 KCI は新しい生徒を迎えながら成長を続けており、教育を通して子どもたちの人生に良い影響を与えたいという情熱を持つ教師を、祈りつつ募集しています。

今後、KCI は Association of Christian Schools International（ACSI）による国際認定取得を目指しており、将来的には中学校・高校への拡大も計画しています。この長期的なビジョンは、教師にとって成長、リーダーシップ、そして安定したキャリア形成の機会を提供するものです。
