A company with traditions
Linguage, founded in 2014, may seem quite a young company compared to others in the market.
However, Linguage Corporate, the predecessor of the current Linguage, has 45 years of experience in the language education field. Linguage Corporate provided language education services to over 400 companies including international giants such as TOYOTA or HITACHI.
Linguage builds on this abundant experience and know-how and strives to provide the best quality service to individual customers.
Linguage and Linguage Corporate are managed by ZENKEN Corporation, specializing in web marketing and media operation.
Easy to teach lessons
- small group and private lessons
- adults only!
- lesson time: 40 min
- lesson materials, curriculum, lesson plans – all ready for you
- goal: have the students enjoy the lessons
You won’t have to reinvent the wheel: all you have to do is use the provided materials, follow the lesson plan and make sure that our students have ample time to practice.
Over all, what’s most important to us, is to keep our students engaged and their motivations high – this is where your winning personality and great sense of humor comes in!
Work schedule that fits your lifestyle
- no split shifts!
- fixed weekly schedule
- choose your hours from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- min. 4 and max. 8 hours per day
Our schools open from 7:00 in the morning till 24:00 at night.
This means that we can find a schedule that best fits your lifestyle.
We know that work is not all there is to life.
That’s why we will not split your shifts or ask you to work unreasonable hours.
All our teachers work fixed weekly schedules with blocked daily shifts and between 3 and 7 working hours per day.
You work, we pay – even for the parties!
- we pay for both lesson time and time between the lessons
- lesson preparation, event planning, participation in event are all within your regular shift
You will be paid for all the time you are working, regardless of wheter you are teaching lessons, or performing other duties such as lesson preparation, trial lessons, planning events, etc.
Every month our schools organize events and parties for the students. This is a great opportunity to encourage students to use English in social situations and to let them get to know other students and teachers.
It also means that you can have fun at work – and enjoy the food and drinks provided!
Don’t worry. You will be asked to participate if your regular shift coincides with the event – so usually no overtime – and you will be paid for the hours worked.
In addition to competitive wages, Linguage offers attractive benefits to our instructors.
All our teachers get
- paid vacations (depending on the lenght of service),
- transportation allowance,
- late night shift allowance (for work after 22:00).
Full time instructors are signed up for unemployment insurance (depending on their visa type), health insurance and pension.
Linguage has now eight schools in Shinjuku, Yurakucho, Marunouchi, Shinbashi, Shibuya and Yokohama, all just a 5 minutes` walk from the nearest station. We keep expanding and opening new branches in Tokyo.

I applied for a full-time position online, on the company website. I was contacted by email to attend an interview for a full-time position. When I traveled over 1 hour to go to the interview site, I was told that only part-time positions were available. The interviewer, Japanese, also seemed very cold and potentially racist during the interview. Severe lack of professionalism.
