About Modern English
Modern English is a foreign-owned company, operating since 1998. We have multiple schools in Japan, publish learning materials and provide digital learning solutions locally and internationally.
We pride ourselves on our high quality, but friendly approach. We only employ qualified teachers (or those willing to become qualified), and we provide measurable learning objectives and counselling to students and parents.
We take pride in our ‘at home’ atmosphere and, operating branches, franchises and affiliate schools, supply owners and teachers with the tools necessary to operate and compete in the competitive Japanese environment.
Our teachers provide our young learners with choices to produce work, organised by monthly theme, for portfolios and presentations, among others.
We provide teacher-led, ongoing professional development.
We expect our teachers to be proactive, positive, creative, reasonably tech-savvy and to contribute to the learners and the school.
