Job Description

Wonderful World International School has a part-time preschool/afterschool teacher position available for the 2024 school year (April start).

We are looking for motivated, energetic applicants who enjoy working with young children to see them reach their full potential. We have shifts available across our range of preschool / afterschool / Saturday courses. It is a highly rewarding position that is best suited for those who have a genuine passion for seeing students grow and learn. All our preschool students study fulltime and attend the same class every day. Students in our after school program are graduates of our preschool and have a great command of English speaking, reading and writing. They have a strong connection to the school, are well behaved and great to teach.

We foster a love for learning and exploring and are looking for teachers with the ability to connect with the students and create a positive, caring, meaningful, and learning-centered classroom environment. Our students are fun, energetic, love coming to school and are able to function in an all-English environment. The curriculum and materials are set, however, within this framework, teachers, have a good deal of freedom to implement their own ideas and activities based on the the teacher's strengths and students’ needs at the time.

Position details:

Position: Full-time OR Part-time native English teacher (Preschool / After School / Saturday School)

Classes/Hours Available:

25-29.5hrs per week (flexible schedule available)

Day time Preschool classes 9:00~15:00 (1-3 days per week) (hours/days negotiable)

Afternoon / evening conversation and graduate classes 13:00 ~ 19:00  (2-3 days per week) (hours/days negotiable)

Saturday School classes (9:00~15:00)

Start: April 2024 (training and observation possible in March)

Schedule and hours will be decided in consultation during the hiring process.

Days Available: Monday to  Saturday

Location: Toyokawa, Aichi

Remuneration:

• Full-time 230,000 to 270,000 per month based on experience, qualifications, and hours worked.
• Part-time 2,500 to 3,000yen per hour
• Paid transport (up to 20,000 per month)

Job term: Initial contract of 1 year, renewal and longer contracts will be available following the successful completion of the first contract.

Holidays:

Golden Week (full week), Obon, Winter holidays

All public holidays off
