About the Position
Are you generous with your energy? Are you encouraging? Do you believe that entertaining in education is effective? Can you read people and a classroom atmosphere? Can you control a class of young children and stick to your standards? Are you able to follow a curriculum flow plan, but improvise to improve the lesson? Do you get excited about seeing students develop?
If you answered "Yes" to all of these, you will be happy on Eigo Day's team. Eigo Day sets you up to succeed with tested lesson plans. 97% of our students are children aged 3 to 14. Our students' progress is obvious.
An Eigo Day teacher is expected to prepare lessons for maximum effectiveness. We provide very structured lesson plans that are not textbook centric, but teacher-student centric. Focusing heavily on the skills a native teacher can provide, your lessons will revolve around conversational interaction along with pronunciation and phonics. Energetic songs and inspiring games and activities are part of the lessons you will deliver 3-6 times per day.
Eigo Day is the founding school of "The Bee", a phonics-based Spelling Bee program run by a non-profit organization. Through innovative teaching techniques like this, Eigo Day added a 4th and 5th school in the last 3 years. Be part of the continued success!
Benefits

As we continue expansion, your career can advance into your areas of expertise as well. With five locations, you'll participate in the expansion of our schools.

Eigo Day, Inc offers standard company health insurance and retirement plans to full-time teachers. Visa sponsorship is also available.
Job Location
Eigo Day's headquarters is in Kariya, 25 minutes from Nagoya, Aichi. Kariya is next to Toyota City. So, it is the headquarters of many major car parts manufacturers (Denso, Aishin, Toyota Shatai, etc) that especially serve Toyota Motor Company. Kariya also serves as a "bed town" for Toyota City. The Kariya city government has created a very family friendly atmosphere.
Around 20 minutes from Kariya, our second school is in Anjo. Anjo is much like Kariya with a little "countryside" feel. Still more car parts manufacturers are based in Anjo, making English very important here as well.
Our third school is in Nagoya, Mizuho-ku, near Aratama-bashi. Nagoya is the 4th largest city in Japan. Nagoya provides the full urban experience with a bit of a laid-back feel.
Our fourth school is in Agui-cho. On the way out to Chubu airport, Agui is a small, cute location.
Our fifth school is in Toyohashi. Toyohashi is characterized as the "best place to live" in Aichi. The last stop on Aichi's Meitetsu Line is also a stop on the JR Bullet train. The ocean and mountains are very near, making hot days not-as-hot and cold days not-as-cold. Get to Nagoya or Tokyo in reasonable time.
