Job Description

PEC English school (in Yamaguchi, Japan) is seeking a native speaker of English to start a full-time teaching position. We will sponsor a work visa, so you don't have to be currently in Japan.

LOCATION:
We are located in Hikari city and Shunan city, Yamaguchi prefecture, which is only 30 minutes away from the center of Hiroshima-city by bullet train.
Yamaguchi prefecture is located in the western area of Japan and Hikari city itself has beautiful beaches, mountains, and many historic sites. The weather is very calm and comfortable all year round. Because the city faces the Seto Inland Sea, it is relatively safe from typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis. It has everything you would want and need for a comfortable lifestyle.

We are looking for someone who:

Teachers should be comfortable being active with younger students including singing songs, reading stories and playing games. Other responsibilities include creating lesson plans, participation in events and other school activities.

PEC has many events throughout the year. (ex: Kid's summer camp, Home stay program, Arts and crafts event , etc ... )Therefore, we are looking for someone who is creative, loves being outdoors and enjoys having a good time with other people. It is not required, but preferred that individuals seeking a position with PEC have had previous experience working with children.

Conditions:
Position: Full-time
Contract period : one-year (renewable at the completion of contract)

Working Days:  Teachers will usually work 5 days a week, while being off every Sunday and 1 other consecutive day (either Saturday and Sunday / Sunday and Monday) .

Salary: JPY  250,000~/ monthly
★Visa renew/ sponsorship available 

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker
  • College degree (BA/ BS or the equivalent)
  • Preferably TESOL, CELTA certificate
  • Valid driver's license
