Job Requirements
ALTs should be motivated, enthusiastic, professional and proactive in communicating with others. Successful applicants must also meet the following criteria:
🔺 Already be living in Japan and hold a valid visa permitting work
🔺 Be a university graduate holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
🔺 Have conversational Japanese skills and be comfortable talking with teachers and staff
🔺 Have native-level English proficiency with natural phonetic fluency and a minimum of 12 years of education where the main language of instruction in all classes was English
🔺 Are in good health and able to commit and complete the contract period (until March 2025)
🔺 Highly motivated, outgoing and friendly; able to proactively share ideas and communicate fully with other teachers
🔺 Hold a valid Japanese Driver's License or International Driving Permit (IDP) and able to drive a car in Japan. *Support will be provided for those who do not own a vehicle.

【Be an Assistant Language Teacher in Aizuwakamatsu!】
Borderlink, Inc. is now hiring Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) for Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. These positions start soon, so apply today. If you are looking to relocate to Aizuwakamatsu or a nearby area commutable to it, we can assist you.
Bordered to the east by the great Lake Inawashiro, the city of Aizuwakamatsu is located in central Fukushima and offers a treasure trove of historical and cultural sites of interest. Once the site of the famous Battle of Aizu, the city features a castle (Tsuruga-Jo) with grounds dating back to the 14th century.
Other things to see include the Oyaku-en medicinal herb gardens, two hot spring resorts, numerous samurai-era locales, and many annual festivals including the Aizu Festival and Sakura Festival. A local commercial center, Aizuwakamatsu is the headquarters of many local television networks in Fukushima, and the city is famous for its sake brewing and lacquerware.
Those living in Aizuwakamatsu will also want to sample the local cuisine, including the city’s own soba noodles and sauce-katsudon. For an exciting mix of urban comfort and rural charm, Aizuwakamatsu is an outstanding place to teach this year!
【Position Details】
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) work alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary, participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals and communicating with students both inside and outside of the classroom are all part of a day’s work for ALTs.
⚫ Contract period: November 1st, 2024 to March 21st, 2025
⚫ Contract type: Full-Time
⚫ Level: Elementary schools and junior high schools
⚫ General working hours: Shift between 8:00 am to 16:30 pm (actual working time: 7 hours)
⚫ Salary range: Between 220,000 to 240,000 yen / month
