Are you a passionate, friendly teacher who loves connecting with others? Join our family-run team at The English Bug (TEB), a trusted and well-established language school (30+ years), located in the beautiful city of Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone to start in March/April 2025
- A native (or near native) English speaker
- Candidates MUST reside in Japan
- Any teaching certification is a bonus
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have teaching experience in Japan (or Asia), especially with small groups of children
- Bring musical skills or some other unique talents to the classroom
- Can follow established systems and meet targets
- Are an excellent communicator
- Have experience teaching online
- Are physically and mentally prepared for the challenges of teaching in Japan
- Hold a current Japanese driver’s license (or be prepared to get one)
- Are reliable, committed, and ready to be part of a supportive team
Job Description

The Package Includes:
- Salary: Starting at ¥270,000/month (based on experience)
- Holidays: 7 weeks of paid leave annually
- Visa Sponsorship: Available
- Accommodation: A semi-furnished, subsidized, modern apartment
- Work Hours: A maximum of 30 contact hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Bonus: Contract completion bonus
