Overview
TIK International School is hiring experienced Early Years educators for limited contract Summer School English Teacher roles in Tokyo. This position is for teachers who can lead English-immersion classes for young learners aged 18 months to 8 or 9 years old in a supportive international preschool environment.

- Salary: ¥18,000 per day
- Contract term: June 8th to August 7th
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9-hour shift including a 1-hour break
- Language of instruction: English; staff are required to speak English at all times
About the Summer School role
TIK International School is an English-immersion international preschool serving students from 18 months old through early elementary age. During the Summer School period, the school is looking for limited contract staff members to work as part of its teaching team.
The classroom teacher plans, prepares, and delivers lessons for the same group of students throughout the Summer School period, following the provided Summer School curriculum. The goal is to create an engaging student experience that supports knowledge, learning, and participation throughout the day.
Teaching environment
The school uses lower ratios and combines play-based learning with academic content. Working hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 to 17:30 [early shift]
- 9:00 to 18:00 [middle shift]
- 9:30 to 18:30 [late shift]
- Shifts are dependent on the needs of the school.
