Job Requirements

We are now hiring for the position of Native English Teacher at Itsumo Smile Nursery located in the center of Tokushima City.
We are not an English conversation school. We teach in English rather than teach English so applicants must be aware of the challenges associated with holistic education as opposed to language instruction and be proactive about their own professional development. Qualifications/ Skills:

• A bachelor's degree
• TESOL/ TEFL certification (preferrable)
• A teacher's license for nursery school, kindergarten, elementary school or any child care license is preferable
• Experience working at preschool, afterschool or English conversation school is preferable
• Ability to apply curriculum principles in practice and to plan effective lessons
• Teaching certification or qualification in early childhood strongly preferred
• Experience working with young children
• Must currently have a valid visa to work and live in Japan

Days of the week/work schedule:

• Time (School opens 7:00am-20:00pm) Main working time: 9:00-18:00 or 10:00-19:00 (depending on the monthly shift)
• 112 days off per year
• At least one day off per week with the schedule for the following month shared with the employee by the 15th of the preceding month.

Job Description

As an English teacher at our school you will be required to perform the following:

• Full time teaching duties as a classroom teacher (0-6 years old, elementary students, eikaiwa)
• Assessment of student progress.
•  Fundamental care and supervision of students
• Toilet training, including diaper change
• Assistance with curriculum revision and development. (Following the Cambridge curriculum)
• Willing to sing, dance and think creatively

7. Salary range: 222,500-277,500 yen/month
