English Childcare & Teacher (Preschool & Afterschool)

Locations:

• Universal Kids Shinagawa (Opened April 2023)
• E-STEM Kids (Opened April 2025)

Both facilities are located on the 1st floor of Gotenyama Trust Tower, adjacent to the Marriott Hotel, near Shinagawa Station. (Free shuttle bus service available from Shinagawa Station.)

Position Overview

We are seeking English Childcare & English Teachers to work with children aged 1 to 12 years old. You will teach and care for children in English while supporting their daily routines and helping create a safe, fun, and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Implementation (Preschool & School-age Children)

• Conduct engaging programs and activities such as English, Japanese, science, music, gymnastics, park play, and free play.
• Implement lessons using Minecraft Education and Scratch (a visual programming language).
  Applicants with experience in programming or visual coding are highly preferred.

Daily Support & Childcare

• Assist children with pick-up/drop-off, meals, toileting, dressing, diaper changes, and nap time.
• Provide attentive care and ensure a safe, comfortable environment.

Classroom & Event Preparation

• Prepare teaching materials and classroom decorations.
• Assist in creating props and displays for seasonal events.

Facility Operations

• Help with classroom cleaning, organizing documents, and maintaining the overall tidiness of the facility.

Child Supervision

• Escort children safely to and from school by vehicle (ride along for safety).
• Supervise children during health checkups, evacuation drills, and events to prevent injuries and ensure smooth operations.

Working Conditions

Workdays: Monday–Friday
Saturdays: One Saturday per month for school events
Hours: Between 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (8-hour shifts, occasional overtime)

Holidays:

• Two days off per week
• Approx. 113 days off per year
• Includes summer vacation and New Year holidays

Employment Type & Compensation

Full-Time (Contract Employee)

• Monthly Salary: ¥250,000–¥280,000 (depending on experience and ability)
• Salary increase and promotion opportunities based on performance

Part-Time

• Hourly Wage: ¥1,280+ (training period: ¥1,230/hour for approx. 1–2 months)
• 4–6 hours per day, 2–3 days per week or more
