- Native-level English proficiency
- Valid visa permitting work in Japan (visa sponsorship is not available)
- Working Holiday Visa holders are welcome to apply
- Experience teaching children preferred
- Experience in a kindergarten, preschool, international school, or after-school program preferred
- Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic conversational Japanese is an advantage but not required
- Must enjoy working with young children
Job Description
Tracey International Preschool and Tracey English School are seeking a full-time English teacher for a one-year maternity leave cover position.
The successful candidate will work with children aged 2–12 in our international kindergarten and after-school (Gakudo) programs. Responsibilities include teaching English lessons, leading games and activities, supervising children, assisting with seasonal events, preparing classroom materials, and working closely with both international and Japanese staff.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Benefits include:
• Salary: ¥270,000–¥300,000 per month (depending on experience)
• Transportation allowance up to ¥10,000 per month

This position starts in August 2026 and is offered as a one-year contract to cover maternity leave.
