About Nuthouse Education Nuthouse Education is a creative education hub based in Osaka. We are not just a publishing company; we are a team of innovators dedicated to reshaping how English is taught in Japan. We specialize in “enjoying life” while delivering high-quality education to Young Learners.
While we develop our own textbook series and travel across Japan training schools, we also manage English programs for private elementary schools and run our own dedicated learning centers. We have spent the last few years gathering the most caring and positive staff members in Japan, and we believe we now have the best team in the industry.
Our Vision We are dedicated to using creative, out-of-the-box thinking to develop a way of learning English that effectively gets children speaking naturally. Our activities are based on the way children play and interact in the real world. Because we are also a publishing company, we are working on creating a career path for people who love teaching but also enjoy other challenges—whether that’s curriculum development, teacher training, or design.
The Science Behind Us We don’t guess what children want to say; we research it. We teamed up with an internationally renowned vocabulary specialist to analyze the language most used by child YouTubers, popular kids’ shows, and children’s books. This allowed us to create a list of the most frequently used words by native-speaking children. We then created a methodology that uses fun comics and stories to get students to want to speak.
Our Approach: English as a Skill Nuthouse Education emphasizes English as a practical skill, not just a hobby. Whether in our partner elementary schools or our own classrooms, our lessons are designed to maximize student output. Despite limited class time, our students consistently achieve a relatively higher level of English because our method focuses on engagement and natural acquisition.
