The position offers an annually increasing monthly salary scale(dependant on work performance and company financial growth) up to ¥292,000.
The 8-hour weekday(8:00~17:00) consists of 5 hours preschool class contact time(9am~2pm), and 3 hours of content preparation/afternoon classes when required, with 60 minutes of break time. We are located in picturesque Kuwana City, on the North-Eastern edge of Mie Prefecture. Just 20 minutes by train from Nagoya Station, Kuwana enjoys both the beauty and tranquility of the countryside, and convenient access to the excitement of the big city.
The preschool curriculum is theme-based, with a revolving monthly schedule of arts and craft activities, songs, dances, group play, outdoor exercise and adventure, and an annual calendar featuring fun events such as recital, sports day, and a family Summer Festival event. The children make original decorations for traditional Japanese cultural events, as well as celebrating international occasions such as Halloween and Christmas, with colorful costume parties.
A typical preschool day begins with interactive free-play time, featuring a giant selection of toys and brain stimulation. In circle time the designated teacher's helpers lead the class in singing a song and checking the date on the calendar. We spend daily outdoor time in a big nearby park, where the children run, dig, climb and slide on grassy slopes, before returning to the school for creative arts and craft time. Reading, writing, dancing and music lessons are some of the other regular features of the daily schedule. We also enjoy annual events such as sweet potato planting and harvest, as well as bus excursions to fun places.
Native teachers post a daily report of what the kids did to our school blog(in English), together with a selection of photographs from the day at school, which parents enjoy exclusive access to.
The position offers a monthly transportation allowance of ¥5,000, and is best suited to a resident of Kuwana City, or the surrounding area.
Kuwana Forest International Preschool has been operating since 2018. We are the first(and only) school of this type in Kuwana City, and take great pride in our role as a purely English educational environment for local young learners.
Particularly with regard to joining our staff, our school has an extremely effective and trusted team of teachers and valued staff, with a very low turnover rate. We look for people who are mutually invested in our mission, and committed to learning and growing together with us. We check in regularly with all our staff regarding workplace satisfaction and cooperation. Our staff love their jobs, and we aim to keep it that way.
As such, all staff must be able to accept constructive criticism, act with professional consideration of others, and follow management requests or instructions.
The inability to meet these conditions will lead to early contract termination.
