English Conversation Teacher (Minecraft & STEM) – Remote / Hybrid

About Us

Universal Kids Shinagawa and E-STEM Kids (operating since April 2025) are a preschool, childcare, and after-school education facility located on the first floor of Gotenyama Trust Tower, adjacent to the Marriott Hotel near Shinagawa Station. A free shuttle bus service is available from Shinagawa Station.

Position Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic English teachers who enjoy working with children and are interested in combining English education with games and technology.

You will teach English conversation primarily to elementary school students, with opportunities to work with older elementary and junior high school students as well.

Lessons are conducted online using engaging educational games, with Minecraft serving as the primary teaching platform. Our curriculum also incorporates visual programming languages and STEM-based activities to create an interactive and enjoyable learning experience.

Candidates with strong Japanese communication skills and an interest in school operations or educational management may be considered for full-time and managerial positions based on performance.

Work Conditions

① Part-Time (Primarily Remote)

• 2–5 days per week
• Weekdays: 3–6 hours between 3:30 PM – 9:30 PM
• Weekends: 3–8 hours between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Flexible scheduling available

★Japanese proficiency: JLPT N3 level or above is required.

Compensation

Part-Time

• ¥1,650 – ¥2,500 per hour
• Training period (1–2 months): ¥1,500 per hour
• Hourly rate is determined based on:
  • Teaching experience
  • Performance evaluations
  • Feedback from students and parents
  • Transportation expenses reimbursed separately (up to ¥30,000/month)

• Has Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N3 level or above
