Job Requirements

We are seeking teachers for our international team who:

・can work until 21:00
・can commute up to 60 minutes on the train (regular teachers)
・can commute up to 90 minutes on the train (substitution work)
・owns a Japanese cell phone number with voice service
・owns a Japanese bank account or Japan Post account
・teaching experience in the Eikaiwa industry is preferred, but not necessary
・are native (or native-level) English speakers
・are culturally sensitive, professional, and have excellent communication skills
・are interested in and passionate about teaching children (mainly students under 12 years old)
・can easily build a rapport with young students and their families
・are CURRENTLY living in the Kanto area, have permission to work and can attend interviews in Tokyo
・tourist / temporary visa holders will not be considered

■ Work schedule

We are looking for instructors who are available for a seven or eight hour work shift usually between 8:30 and 21:00. The hourly rate is a more flexible option for those who cannot be there the whole day.

Part Time options:

・Type A - Can work the full shift on both Saturdays and Sundays (adding other days of the week is possible) as a Regular Teacher.

Remuneration: between 11,000 and 16,500 yen / day (7 or 8 hour work shift).

・Type B - Can work the full shift on Saturdays (adding other days of the week is possible) as a Regular Teacher.

Remuneration: between 10,000 and 15,000 yen / day (7 or 8 hour work shift)

・Type C - Can work the full shift on Sundays and at least one more day in the week as a Regular Teacher.

Remuneration: between 2,000 and 2,500 yen / hour with an extra 1,000 yen allowance / teaching hour for the classes on Sundays (usually 4 to 6 classes).

・Type D - Can work on Saturday (adding other days of the week is possible) as a Regular / Substitute Teacher

Remuneration: between 2,000 and 2,500 yen / teaching hour (work hours: between two to seven work hours depending on the day, usually between 10:00-21:00.

Benesse BE studio is looking for teachers who have great passion for working with children.

If you enjoy having fun with children, or being part of witnessing their growth and development, BE studio may be a good place for you:

・Prepare for the lessons (set up the classroom, review lesson plans, clean up materials)
・Deliver 40 to 70 minute group lessons (maximum of 8 students / class)
・Work together with school staff to provide high quality lessons and customer service.
・Deliver special lessons and participate in seasonal events
・All lesson plans will be provided and related materials will be ready at each school location.
