Connect, Learn, and Grow Together
InTogether exists to bring English educators in Japan together into a supportive, practical, and collaborative community.
We are a growing network of teachers, school owners, and independent educators who care about students, meaningful learning, and the people doing the teaching. Our goal is simple but powerful: to create spaces where educators can connect, learn from one another, and build relationships that make teaching in Japan healthier, stronger, and more fulfilling.
Why InTogether?
Teaching in Japan, whether in a classroom, a private school, or through creative and independent work, can often feel isolating. Many educators work hard behind closed doors, solving problems alone, with few chances to openly share ideas, challenges, or long-term goals.
InTogether offers a place where you don’t have to do that alone.
It is a space to talk honestly about what is working, what is not, and what could be better. A place to meet others who understand the realities of teaching here. A place where collaboration replaces competition, and where educators support educators.
Who It’s For
InTogether welcomes everyone involved in English education in Japan: classroom teachers, school owners, trainers, creators, and independent professionals. Some members are just starting out. Others have decades of experience. What unites us is not background or position, but a shared interest in improving learning experiences for students and supporting the people who make them possible.
This is a community where you don’t just attend. You belong, contribute, and help shape what comes next.

What We Do
InTogether creates opportunities for connection and growth through gatherings, events, and ongoing projects. Our best-known events are the InTogether Extravaganzas, full days that blend practical workshops, idea-sharing, and relaxed social time.
These gatherings are designed to be hands-on, grounded, and human. They focus on real classroom practice, creative approaches, and solutions that come directly from educators. People come to learn, but they also come to talk, reflect, and build relationships that often continue long after the event ends.
Extravaganzas are not the goal. They are an expression of the community.
Alongside events, InTogether is growing into a wider platform for collaboration through meetups, conversations, creative projects, and future initiatives such as podcasts and publications. The heart of all of it is the same: bringing educators together so good ideas, support, and momentum can naturally grow.

Why It Matters
We believe that when educators feel supported, connected, and confident that they are moving in a positive direction, better teaching and deeper learning naturally follow.
Over time, those shared experiences can lead to something larger: healthier educators, stronger communities, and a gradual shift toward more meaningful, communicative, and experience-based approaches to English education in Japan.
InTogether is not about collecting titles, selling systems, or standing on stages. It is about building relationships, sharing perspectives, and creating a professional home where educators can grow together.
A Place to Build Together
People often leave InTogether gatherings feeling energized, grounded, and glad they came. They leave with practical ideas, but also with something less tangible and just as important: a renewed sense that they are not alone, and that their work matters.
Whether you are looking for connection, inspiration, collaboration, or simply a community that understands your world, you are welcome at InTogether.
This is not just a group to join.
It is something to be part of, support, and help build.
